what do you do when you’re a creative person and your creativity drives multiple passions?

In my case, I act on those passions.

Ever since I was young, I had a pen in my hand. I expressed myself through writing. I loved to write and that love has remained strong throughout my life, especially once I found the subject matter I loved to write about the most; food.

Food is more than just subsistence to me, it’s a common ground for all. Polar opposites can agree over food. Love is formed around food. Food brings people together. Food is beautiful and in certain cases, food can even be art.

My writing style has always been visual; I work hard to craft an image in your mind with my words. It’s a style that not only translates well in food writing, but I would argue it’s one of the most important aspects of food writing. A reader can’t smell or taste what I’m writing about so my words have to form a mental image so vivid that the reader craves what I’m describing. If I’m writing about bacon and you can’t smell the bacon (in your mind), I’ve failed as a writer.

I’m also a photographer, both in talent and in trade. I provide professional food photography services for restaurants in New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, and the surrounding areas. You can expect some high-level food photography in every written piece, because the only thing better than a thousand words painting a picture is a picture that removes the need for those thousand words.
